Sydenham Road and Kirkdale

Sydenham Road is the main shopping street, running from Cobb's Corner east towards Lower Sydenham and Bell Green. It has independent shops, cafés and pubs, and a busy bus corridor. Kirkdale climbs north from Cobb's Corner towards Forest Hill, with more shops and restaurants along the way.

Stopping can be tricky on both roads at busy times. Our drivers use the side streets and loading bays where they can, and they call you when they arrive. If you are eating out, tell us the restaurant name and the driver will find the nearest safe spot.

Westwood Hill and Upper Sydenham

Westwood Hill rises from Sydenham up to the top of the ridge near Crystal Palace Park. Upper Sydenham is full of large Victorian houses, quiet roads and steep hills. It is a very short drive from our base.

Many of our regular customers live here. People book us for trips to the station, the shops and further afield. A fixed fare means the price stays the same however long the traffic on the hill takes.

Sydenham station car pickups

Sydenham station has London Overground Windrush line trains and Southern services, including trains to London Bridge. Sydenham Hill station, on the Dulwich side, has Southeastern trains towards Victoria. Lower Sydenham is on a separate line towards Hayes and London Bridge.

We pick up and drop off at all three. Tell us which station you need, as they are far apart. With luggage or a late train, a car to your door is far easier than the walk home.

Parks and green spaces

Sydenham Wells Park sits on the hillside near Wells Park Road, with its ponds and gardens. Mayow Park, off Mayow Road, is one of the oldest public parks in the area. Sydenham Hill Wood, on the western edge, is ancient woodland with walking trails. We drop families, walkers and dog owners at all of them.

For a day with a dog, our pet friendly minicab makes sure you get a driver who is happy to carry animals.
