Airport Transfers from Crystal Palace to Heathrow

Heathrow sits on the far west side of London, about 20 miles from the top of the hill. By train it usually means a trip into central London and back out again with your cases, which is hard work before a long-haul flight. A direct car takes you from your front door to the departures forecourt with no changes.

We plan every Crystal Palace to Heathrow minicab around your flight time, not just the clock. For a long-haul departure, most airlines suggest arriving around three hours before take-off. We work backwards from that and add a buffer for traffic, so you are not watching the minutes tick by on the M4.

Airport Pickups Heathrow with Meet and Greet

Landing is the part of the trip people dread. Long queues at passport control, a delayed bag, a phone that will not connect. Our Heathrow airport pickup is built around that reality.

We track your flight number, so the pickup time follows your actual landing time. With meet and greet, your driver waits in the arrivals hall holding a board with your name, then walks you to the car and helps with the luggage. Tell us the flight number, the terminal and a mobile number when you book. That is all we need.

Heathrow Terminals We Serve

Each terminal has its own set-down area, and they are not close to each other. Check your booking or airline app the day before, because airlines do move terminals now and then.

Minicab to Heathrow Terminal 2

Terminal 2, the Queen's Terminal, is home to most Star Alliance airlines and several others. It shares the central terminal area with Terminal 3, reached through the tunnel under the northern runway. The drop-off is on the upper level outside departures.

Transfer to Heathrow Terminal 3

Terminal 3 handles a lot of long-haul flights, including many oneworld airlines and Virgin Atlantic. Like Terminal 2, it sits in the central area, so the approach is the same until the final signs split.

Private Hire to Heathrow Terminal 4

Terminal 4 is on the south side of the airport, reached by the southern perimeter road rather than the central tunnel. It is used by a mix of carriers, including several SkyTeam and Gulf airlines. If you are flying from Terminal 4, make sure your booking says so, as it saves a long detour.

Car to Heathrow Terminal 5

Terminal 5 is the British Airways terminal, with its own approach from the western side of the airport. It is a large building with a big departures forecourt, so finding your entrance is easy once the driver is there.

Route, Journey Time and Distance

The usual route runs west along the A205 South Circular, through Tulse Hill, Clapham and Wandsworth, then over Kew Bridge to Chiswick to join the M4. From there it is a straight run out to junction 4 and the Heathrow spur.

When the South Circular is jammed, our drivers sometimes take the A23 south to the M23 and swing round the M25 to junction 14 or 15. It is longer in miles but can be quicker at certain times.

Typical times, which you should treat as a guide, are around 55 minutes in light traffic and 80 minutes or more at peak times. Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings are the slowest. Heathrow charges a fee for vehicles dropping off at the terminal forecourts, and the airport sits inside the ULEZ area, so we use compliant licensed vehicles.
